    60 GOALS SOCCER STARS PROJECT: PROJECTING YOUTHS TO STARDOM THROUGH THE NED NWOKO FOUNDATION

    As usual with the Delta born billionaire and Philanthropic Prince of Idumuje-Ugboko, Hon. Dr. Ned Nwoko, another breeze of uplifting generations unborn has been blowing across different states of Nigeria, scouting for indigent, but worthy soccer talents, to be sponsored by the 60 Goals Soccer Stars Project and Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation.

    The management team comprising of European and African Scouts and Professionals including the Ukrainian National Team Coach Oleg Dziuba was led by Ms Jane Ndubuisi, a FIFA intermediary Agent and Francis Ikechukwu, former Nigerian Under 23 international under Egwavon have visited four (4) states in addition to the FCT which include, Lagos, Anambra, Delta, and Akwa Ibom states with auditions currently ongoing at the FCT.

    The eagle eyed scouts would be saddled with the Herculean tasks of selecting about One Hundred and Thirty (130) finalists out of well over an estimated Five thousand applicants between the ages of 16-21 years of age .

    60 Goal Soccer Stars Project in collaboration with Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation would give beneficiaries an opportunity to showcase their talents and build their sporting careers with various European clubs top of which is English side Fulham FC

    As he is well known with humility, Prince Ned Nwoko, who personally kicked off the screening process in Delta state at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba briefed journalists on the reason behind sponsoring the 60 Goals Project. He stated that a lot of potentials are being wasted with no one to harness them, hence his delving in and eventual partnership with the sports body to salvage the decaying situation.

    With Ambassadors like John Fashanu, a Super Sport Football analyst and one time Crystal Palace player And Patrons like Mr. Solomon Dalung, Nigeria’s immediate past Minister of Youth and Sports, no doubt the 60 Goals Soccer Stars Project would export the best of stars to the world.

    Speaking with Ex Super Eagles International Francis Ikechukwu he revealed the possible inclusion of French side Paris-Saint Germane (PSG) and English Premiership Side Leeds United to the football scouting programme “We are currently in talks with French side PSG and Leeds United who have indicated their interests in providing professional training for the selected players as well as partner with 60 Goals soccer project and the Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation in ensuring that these young talents are uncovered”

    Following the intervention of Prince Ned Nwoko and the Ned Nwoko Foundation, several brands both within and outside the country have indicated interest in partnering the Soccer project, some of which include Topflight UK, Procamp UK, Infinity global sports Italy, not forgetting Capital oil boss Ifeanyi Ubah

    The final selection which is scheduled to take place sometime in November 2019 will see the official handover of selected candidates to the representatives of the european clubs and beginning of a new generation in the Nigerian Soccer story.
